Our Founder’s Story
Aicha Traore created Wombline from a call to care for women.
LONG BEFORE WOMBLINE BECAME A BRAND, AICHA IMAGINED A LIFE CENTERED AROUND WOMEN’S HEALTH.
From an early age, she was fascinated by the female body, the experiences that shape womanhood, and the ways women navigate different stages of life. That curiosity eventually grew into a career spanning reproductive healthcare, fertility and family-building services, birth work, prenatal education, and public health.
For the past five years, she has worked alongside women navigating some of life's most personal and transformative experiences. As a family-building consultant, birth doula, and perinatal health worker, she has developed an approach to women's health that brings together professional knowledge, holistic practices, and compassionate care.
Aicha holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Community Health, deepening her understanding of healthcare access, health equity, and the systems that influence women's health and well-being.
Throughout her career, she has witnessed both the beauty of women's health and the challenges women face in accessing information, finding the right providers, and feeling truly heard. Her experiences have reinforced her belief that women deserve to feel supported not only during pregnancy and birth, but throughout every stage of their lives.
She began to imagine a space where women's wellness could exist beyond appointments, diagnoses, and traditional definitions of care. A space that celebrated the connection between physical well-being, emotional health, self-care, education, and community.
WOMBLINE BEGAN FROM THAT VISION
What If Body Care Could Be More Than Skincare?
What if an oil could be part of a woman's ritual when she feels stressed, when she's entering her cycle, when she's preparing for birth, when she wants to feel soft before bed, or when she simply needs to come back to herself?
For Aicha, body oils felt like the natural bridge between holistic wellness and beauty. She wanted to create something gentle, easy to use, and never clinical or intimidating. Something that could live on your bathroom counter, beside your bath, in your hospital bag, or in the quiet moments when you need to pause.
Wombline launched with four body oils, each created for a different stage or emotional state: Balance Me / Self-Care Nights / Ground Me Down / Labor Support
But Care Doesn't Stop at Ritual.
Through her work in reproductive health, Aicha saw another pattern again and again. Women didn't know where to start: which provider fits their values, which birth center takes their insurance, how to find a doula, a lactation consultant, or a specialist who actually listens. Too often, the hardest part of care was finding it.
Wombline Care was created to close that gap. Through personalized sessions, we help women explore their options, find providers who fit their needs, preferences, and insurance, and get connected to care with support every step of the way.

Wombline Body brings together nourishing ingredients, intentional rituals, and everyday self-care to help women slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and make space for themselves.
